Whether a new couple discovering each other and creating first-time memories, or a seasoned married pair with a mortgage and kids looking for a way to spice things up, couples boudoir portraits are a fun way to try something new and different with your partner. So take off your shirt, dive on in, and create something for you both to remember this chapter of your love story.

1. TALK IT OUT

Couples boudoir sessions can be anything you want them to be. From super sexy and spicy to sweet and
playful. It’s so important to be on the same page with both your partner and your photographer as to what you envision for your photoshoot. Set boundaries, create mood boards, and discuss limitations so you can be clear about what you want to achieve. The right photographer will talk you through every step and ask the right questions to make you feel comfortable and have some steamy fun without pushing too
far outside of your comfort zone.

2. DECIDE A LOCATION

The spot can set the tone of your intimate couples’ session. An in-studio bedroom session is different from wrapped-in sheets in a field and these are way different than making pancakes in your own kitchen. Figure out what feels unique to you as a couple and we will go from there.

3. MAKE IT PERSONAL

The whole point is to show off your love for one another and who you are behind closed doors. So make it unique by incorporating interests and activities that show off your personality as a couple. Cook together, cuddle up with popcorn and a movie for Netflix, and chill Play a spicy board game or have some of your fav drinks.

4. STYLE IT UP

The outfits you choose can have a big impact on the feel of your session. Going with classic lingerie
(or less) can obviously make things a bit more sultry but if you are holding back because that is too far
outside of your comfort zone, totally OK! A cozy pajama set, some fun flowy robes, or even big comfy
sweaters can be just as sexy when you add your love into the mix.

5. LET YOUR PERSONALITIES LEAD THE WAY

Every session is as unique as the couples themselves. This is about telling YOUR love story, not someone else’s. The way you naturally interact should show us what direction we will go. Be playful and fun. Be super romantic and sweet. Be sexy as hell and put your hands all over each other. Nothing is required and
nothing is off limits. These photos should show off who you are together and what life is like loving each other. Make it a date and remember to be true to who you are.
